SIMADU: Integrated Application to Support Student Activities in University

Electronic-based academic information systems such as websites are needed to support student activities. In its development, the academic and lecture information is stored in a website hosting, in order to make it easier to access the information from anywhere as long as it is connected to the internet. However, according to the Higher Education Database (PDDikti) that the website is constrained when accessed via a mobile device (mobile), due to the large amount of data to be accessed where the specifications of mobile devices are sometimes limited. So it is necessary to develop an application to access academic information based on mobile devices or smartphones. This study uses the ADDIE model method. Based on the results of a survey of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia students, 43.6% of students were dissatisfied with the website-based academic information system. Students feel ineffective in using too many websites so that it is confusing and troublesome for students to access the information they need. So to simplify the above, it is necessary to conduct research to utilize information and communication technology in supporting the smooth process of distributing academic and lecture information in the form of a tool in the form of an application program called SIMADU.
Blockchain Disaster Management for Humanitarian Logistic as Post-Disaster Response Measures

Indonesia has a high risk of earthquake and tsunami disasters because there's many tectonic plates meet. This also causes Indonesia to have many geological changes compared to other countries. Therefore, an explicit scheme to provide information related to disasters, like an information system in post-disaster management is important. The purpose of this research is to provide transparent information regarding the data on the goods needed and the data on goods to be distributed to ensure the amount used and not used, so that victims affected by disasters can be handled quickly and appropriately. The method used in this research is a literature review. The results of this study indicate the existence of a Blockchain Disaster Management Information System as a form of a new scheme in the post-disaster management process and is an upgraded form of information system that has been developed previously. This scheme uses the blockchain concept to provide transparency and data immutability. This scheme coordinates with various institutions such as BPBD (Regional Disaster Management Agency), BNPB (National Disaster Management Agency), BASARNAS (National Search and Rescue Agency), PMI (Indonesian Red Cross Society), the nearest hospital, and other related institutions. © 2023 Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia
Analysis of the Distribution of Fertilizer Commodities through Multimodal Transportation: West Java, East Java and South Sumatra

The need for both organic and inorganic fertilizers in Indonesia continues to increase, in line with increasing demand from the plantation and agricultural sectors. This also results in supplies from subsidized fertilizer production and fertilizer from large industries sometimes note being capable to meet the market. In this scientific article, we will discuss the design and planning of fertilizer distribution from both large industries and small and medium industries which will be reviewed from the distribution of goods in 3 provinces zones which are estimated to have quite high movement of fertilizer products. The method used in this study in general is a literature review where the search for sources and data is carried out by literature study. In the three review zones, the distribution process carried out depends on the amount of production and existing demand. After analyzing the distribution of fertilizer commodities, the results were obtained in the form of growth, production capacity, BOOK and transportation rates for each zone.
SMARTLY: Smart Trolley Based on Augmented Reality as a Solution for Shopping Issues in Supermarkets

Indonesian society has a high interest in shopping at supermarkets. However, there are still several issues when shopping at supermarkets, such as long queues at cashier counters, discrepancies in consumer budgets, and difficulties in finding desired product locations. Therefore, there is a need for a tool that can help enhance the effectiveness of shopping activities in supermarkets, and one such solution is the creation of the SMARTLY tool. SMARTLY is a new innovation that will be applied to trolleys with a smart system based on Augmented Reality (AR). The method used in writing this article is a planned experimental method that starts with literature review, product design, prototype creation, testing, troubleshooting, and evaluation. Based on research findings, SMARTLY can provide information about product locations, prices, names, promotional quantities, and specifications, encompassing various details about the products to be purchased. Thus, this tool can act as a solution to all the problems mentioned earlier.
Proposed Solutions to Vaccine Storing and Distribution at PT. POS Logistik Indonesia, Bandung

This case study digs into the involvement of students in the logistic engineering curriculum at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia in real-world logistics problems. The research is based on a consulting project carried out in partnership with PT. POS Logistik Indonesia, is a well-known logistics company specializing in health and vaccine product warehousing. The primary responsibility allocated to the students is to meticulously observe, thoroughly analyze, and provide solutions for material handling procedures within the boundaries of the company's warehouse facilities. While the main goal was to collect visual documentation of the warehouse, PT. POS Logistik Indonesia delivered Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents relevant to health and vaccine product management. This made it possible to approach the consultation assignment in a more collaborative and informed manner. The primary goal of this article is to identify relevant difficulties and formulate prescriptive solutions based on interviews and on-site visits, with a particular emphasis on the improvement of vaccine storage and handling techniques to avoid waste in future initiatives.
INFORMATION SYSTEM DESIGN IN WAREHOUSE INVENTORY CONTROL

Inventory management is a crucial aspect for the smooth operation of businesses, as the availability of stock significantly impacts the company's operations. Supporting successful inventory management involves utilizing an information system that assists the company in monitoring inventory in real time and presenting accurate and up-to-date information. The purpose of conducting this research is to comprehend the concept of inventory control and its interrelation with an information system. The stage of this research is to carry out a research framework starting from planning, designing until the system can be used by users. In addition, the results of a literature review that was conducted using data from earlier studies by other researchers were used. The role of information systems in inventory control is of paramount importance, as it can enhance effectiveness and efficiency by providing real-time data about warehouse stock, thereby reducing the risk of errors that could result in losses for the company. Therefore, the development of an inventory control information system is anticipated to alleviate issues related to inventory management within the company.
STOPIA: A Wearable Sensor and IoT based Truck Driver Stress Monitoring System to Reduce Traffic Accidents

Truck drivers are known to be a demanding profession as their workload affects their body condition. On the basis of these problems, it is necessary to take preventive measures to reduce material losses and casualties. Through the use of the literature review method, the authors reveal a visual representation of the prevailing trends in the existing body of research on how stress impacts truckers and stress control to minimize accidents. The representation of ongoing research and shortcomings in potential future investigations was then used as a reference in prototyping, the stages of which are presented in the form of flow charts. The results show that stress primarily causes driver fatigue, alongside various indicators that serve as benchmarks for identifying fatigue-related factors. It was also found that there is an undeniable link between stress and fatigue in truck drivers during work performance. As part of the research results, the authors propose a solution in the form of sensors and IoT-based wearable devices that can help measure stress indicators, namely STOPIA. With the implementation of STOPIA, it is hoped that accurate recognition of driver fatigue conditions can be achieved, reducing the risk of traffic accidents, and providing comfort and safety for truck drivers and the transportation industry. Thus, this technology has the potential to decrease accident risks, enhance driver management, and reduce accident-related costs in the transportation industry.
Supporting National Food Security Through the Implementation of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) in the Warehouses of Badan Urusan Logistik

As many as 20,000 tons of rice in 2019 were discarded from the Logistics Agency (BULOG) warehouses due to their declining quality, making them unfit for consumption. The cause of rice damage is that the storage owned by BULOG is not a special warehouse for storing rice. This study aims to analyze BULOG rice storage and formulate ways to improve rice quality in realizing food security The method used in this research is qualitative approach and data collection using Focus Group Discussion (FGD) involving 15 people in the Edu Logistics Hub community. The application of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) which processes information from rice stored in warehouses can minimize human error. The decline in the quality of rice in BULOG warehouses can be overcome by applying the First In First Out (FIFO) method and the application of RFID technology.
Advancing Technology in Healthcare Supply: A Review

Supply Chain Management (MRP) has an important role in healthcare services, including in Indonesia where the majority of raw materials used by the pharmaceutical industry are imported. From the world perspective, Indonesia's pharmaceutical and healthcare industry is known to be very expensive. The Indonesian government has struggled to control the pharmaceutical industry due to its complexity. Too many players that take roles in this industry are also extending the supply chain flow thereby increasing the price to be paid by the end customer (patient). In this era of globalization, technology has played a role and helped human life in almost all aspects, including the health and pharmaceutical service sectors, therefore it is hoped that the use of advanced technology can be a solution to overcoming the complexity in Indonesian health services.

Therefore, this article aims to help all logistics actors, the government, and all Indonesians to be able to jointly create social justice for all Indonesians by involving vocational training as an engine for forming qualified human resources in the technical field of logistics management process implementation. Coherence and Gap Between Service Quality Attributes and Customer Satisfaction

Service conformance to customer expectations is measured in terms of service quality. In order to enhance their services, spot issues as they arise, and more accurately gauge customer satisfaction, service business owners frequently evaluate the quality of the services they offer to their clients. The link between sustainable product qualities and consumer decision-making has been the subject of significant research advancements in recent decades. Nonetheless, despite the substantial quantity of research, conclusions are still dispersed and occasionally even inconsistent. Because customers' assessments of service quality vary widely, the goal of this study is to demonstrate analytically and empirically how the SERVQUAL dimensions are coherent across service industries and even within the same service industry. Because the five SERVQUAL dimensions do not correspond to a customer's psychometric aspects of service quality, this conclusion suggests that there is a gap and lack of coherence between SERVQUAL's five dimensions and customer satisfaction.
Vendor Selection Analysis Based on AHP to Enhance Service Quality and Consumer Satisfaction at PT XYZ

In the midst of intense economic competition, all companies are required to improve their performance in order to maintain their existence in the business world. Not only must they be able to produce high-quality goods, but the company must also be able to provide extraordinary service to its consumers, especially companies engaged in logistics. One way to achieve the best service aspects is through selecting the right freight forwarding vendor. This study aims to determine the best vendor for PT. XYZ based on the most appropriate criteria using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The qualitative method with a descriptive approach is the method used in writing this article with the results showing that the criteria that have the highest rating weights are the level of service criteria with 47%, the location criteria with 26%, the responsiveness criteria with 19% and the price criteria with 8%. After considering these four criteria, the sequence of vendors with the highest priority value is Vendor E with a total priority value of 0,59. Meanwhile, Vendor D and Vendor F occupy the second and third positions with a total priority score of 0,57 and 0,54.
Issues and Challenges of Logistics Inventory Post New Normal Covid-19

Adapting to changes caused by natural disasters, crises, and pandemics like the Covid-19 pandemic makes it difficult to carry out operations as usual. The purpose of this scientific article is to inform and explain the issues and challenges in the logistics industry, particularly in the post-new normal Covid-19 inventory system, where logistics inventory is a crucial component of this industry. The types of arrangement used are literature review research and library research that focus on arrangement-related outcomes and variables. The results obtained from this research allow users to make non-cash payments as an effort to curb the spread of Covid-19, aligned with the implementation of digital transactions in pandemic and post-pandemic situations by Bank Indonesia. Therefore, it is expected that there will be a recovery of the industry after the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as economic productivity, while maintaining a balance between environmental sustainability and social justice to achieve the goals of the 2030 sustainable development agenda.
Factory Layout Planning Using Activity Relationship Chart (ARC) and Activity Relationship Diagram (ARD) Method (Study Case: Kahuripan Foods Lembang)

Kahuripan Food Lembang which is one of the SMEs (Small and Medium Industries) has invested in the food security sector of West Java. It is unfortunate that from the amount of potential owned by this industry, it does not have a factory layout according to The Indonesian Food and Drug Authority (BPOM) standards, thus hampering the production process. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, documentation, and observation. After obtaining the method to be used, then the layout is made with the selected method, namely the Activity Relationship Chart (ARC) and Activity Relationship Diagram (ARD) methods. Based on the results of the analysis and evaluation of the activity relationship of each department needed, it shows that the layout made can help streamline production and logistics activities because it has a flow of activities that have been adjusted to the degree of relationship as a basis for consideration and has been adjusted to the actual size needed.
Implementation of Warehouse Management System Planning in Finished Goods Warehouse

Warehouses play an important role in the supply chain by serving as a link between producers and end consumers. Warehouses not only serve as a place to store goods, but also have other important functions. Operational efficiency and logistics control in finished goods warehouses are increasingly becoming an urgent need for companies in various industries. However, ineffective warehouse management can lead to negative impacts such as decreased profits and customer dissatisfaction. Therefore, efforts are needed to manage warehouses with good efficiency and structure. This article discusses the concept of Warehouse Management System (WMS) and finished goods warehouse management in an effort to improve operational efficiency and logistics control. Through a qualitative approach with data acquisition using literature review from various relevant sources, the relationship between the use of WMS and increased productivity in a company is examined. The results showed that there was a significant improvement in the performance of a company. The WMS is proven to increase the number of orders received and the company’s operational efficiency. WMS aids inventory management with real-time stock data, preventing shortages or excesses. Successful implementation demands proper strategy, tech utilization, planning, system integration, and employee training. Thus, WMS implementation can bring about positive changes in warehouse operational efficiency, inventory optimization, and meeting customer needs.
The Impact of IoT Supply Chain Integrated Blockchain Technology Advancements in the Healthcare Sector: A Literature Review

This literature review article focuses on an in-depth analysis of the Influence of Blockchain Technology Integrated with IoT in Healthcare Supply Chain. The purpose of this scholarly article is to formulate a strong hypothesis on how the advancement of blockchain technology affects the efficiency and effectiveness of supply chains in the healthcare sector. In order to achieve this goal, the research applied a meticulous desk research method, collecting references from various reliable online sources such as Google Scholar, IEEE, and other academic online media. The results outline the significant impact that the integration of blockchain technology and IoT can have in the context of the healthcare sector. The discussion in this article addresses how blockchain technology connected with the Internet of Things (IoT) can provide concrete benefits in optimizing the healthcare supply chain. The practical implications of the integration of these technologies are revealed in the form of improved operational efficiency, information transparency, more accurate product tracking, and reduced risk of human error.
Food Logistics Quality: Minimize Damage to Fresh Fruit Shipping in Covid-19 Era

Food needs are the primary needs needed by all people in the world. Commodity food needs of fruits are needed by considering their quality. During the current Covid-19 pandemic, the demand for food delivery needs has greatly increased. The problem arises when the quality of the fruit is not suitable, it is damaged during delivery. This article aims to capture the quality of the fruit and how to minimize the damage in shipping. The method used in this study is a literature review using the source of scientific articles published in the last 10 years (2011-2021). The results of this study indicate that temperature, storage are the main factors in fruit delivery. In addition, in minimizing damage to fresh fruit in shipping, the use of a GPS-based temperature sensor is very good in maintaining the temperature during delivery as well as accurate information in real-time.
A review: The Role of Warehouse Laboratory for Higher Education

Then one of the important factors that must be developed to improve the quality of the relationship is the communication factor.
Study of Logistic Transportation Based on The Movement of Agricultural Commodities In Aceh Province

Transportation is still a problem in every region in Indonesia, including in Aceh Province. As the node of sea transportation, ports have an increasingly large role in economic development in line with the increasing importance of ports in logistical activities. This study aims to examine logistics transportation based on the movement of agricultural commodities in Aceh Province. The research method uses descriptive quantitative methods with a secondary data analysis approach. The data used in this study are data of the movement of goods and data on agricultural products in Aceh Province. The data analysis approach used linear regression and was validated through the coefficient of determination and correlation test as well as the t-test and ANOVA test. Based on the results of analysis and statistical validation, it can be seen that agricultural products have a positive and significant linear relationship with the generation of movement of goods in Aceh Province.
LITERATURE REVIEWS: THE INFLUENCE OF STUDENT MOTIVATION ON LEARNING IN VOCATIONAL EDUCATION

Background: Student motivation is one of the factors that influence the quality of learning, the high level of motivation will create a good quality learning process. Purpose: this study aims to determine how much influence student motivation has on the learning process in vocational education. Method: literature study from 2010 to 2020. Data obtained from the Science and Technology Index database with the keywords vocational, vocational education, motivation. Result: Through the presented problems in Problem-Based Learning, students can become more engaged in efforts to solve issues and participate in utilizing critical thinking skills. With the presence of the EFI Scanner, students' learning motivation averages at 82.31%. From the assessment of students' learning motivation, a perseverance and determination score of 88.65% was achieved. The use of animation media in delivering electrical system materials provides higher motivation compared to using PowerPoint media. Motivation features developed with the Pre-defined set approach have a more effective impact on improving learning achievements. Conclusion: The Problem-Based Learning approach, EFI Scanner, Animation Media, and Pre-defined set have a positive influence on student learning outcomes, critical thinking skills, learning motivation, and academic achievements.
Barriers of Distance Learning in studied English for Logistics: Literature Review

In 2020, we have to face another big problem not only in Indonesia but the whole world suffers from a global pandemic, named the Covid-19 virus. Education has also received a significant impact that made the government and universities keep on track on how to keep education in Indonesia running well, but without endangering the health of all interested parties. Thanks to technology, we can use the distance learning method for studies for now. Unfortunately, in Indonesia, there are many barriers to use this method. In this paper, the authors use a literature review method for knowing the barriers of distance learning in Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) especially for study English for Logistics Engineer.
Development of Mobile Learning for Distance Learning in Procurement Logistics Course (Case Study: Logistic Engineering Student Program UPI)

Logistics Engineering study program students are required to take several Core Expertise Courses at the Study Program, including among the list is logistics procurement courses. This subject is compulsory in the logistic science cluster because in a unified process of downstream goods in the logistics process cannot be separated from the role of procurement. In this course students will learn about how the procurement process takes place in a complete logistics cycle, but the complexity for this course is high enough that an alternative is needed that can be used as supporting student learning. With advances in information technology, existing learning methods can be enhanced to produce maximum and measurable output through indicators. This study aims to design and develop an independent learning mobile application for logistics procurement courses targeting students of the UPI Logistics Engineering study program. The first development step is to design and adopt this learning process into the application. The research was conducted with the intention of utilizing context-awareness computing to provide material personalization for each user and evaluation in the form of a quiz. In the final stage of research, the application made will be tested to determine the level of usability that will be applied in lectures. The expected result is a robust system and is expected to support blended learning to increase students' interest and understanding of logistics procurement courses.
LIVE MONITORING DISTRIBUTION AS AN EFFORT TO ACHIEVE FOOD SELF-SUFFECIENCY

Fulfilling food needs in Indonesia faces various problems such as scarcity of food commodities, high prices, difficulty in access. These problems include the high number of food imports, so that price competition is increasingly difficult for local products. On the other hand, technological developments have entered various fields including distribution, sales, and food consumption. This challenge is an opportunity for Indonesia's food distribution to be able to meet the needs of various food commodities. This study aims to find a solution and strategy in an effort to realize Indonesia's Food Self-Sufficiency. This study uses the Literature Review method, which uses sources of scientific articles from various sources of national and international journals. The results obtained show that the Live Monitoring Distribution system can be used as an alternative tool used to determine the availability and distribution of food needs to all regions in Indonesia in real-time using three-color indications. This system can meet food needs in the right quantity, right quality, on time, and the most efficient food distribution logistics costs based on the information available in real time. Thus, the availability of food in Indonesia will be evenly distributed throughout the region and Indonesia will be able to realize the welfare of the people through Food Self-Sufficiency.
Study of Use of Cable Cars as a Logistics Support to Rural Area in Garut, West Java

Cable cars as a means of transporting goods and passengers have been applied in several countries. Cable cars can reach areas with difficult terrain to reach so as to support logistic systems for rural areas that have hard-to-reach terrain. The southern district of Garut Regency has extensive agricultural and plantation land and terrain that is quite difficult to reach so that the installation of cable cars will be able to provide the community with ease in transporting agricultural products. The existence of a cable car that has been installed in Sutenjaya Village, Lembang will facilitate development because it can be used as a pilot project.Cable cars as a means of transporting goods and passengers have been applied in several countries.
